Diesel Mechanic

Red Stag LLC is seeking a skilled full-time Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment

• Inspect and test vehicles to identify potential issues and complete necessary repairs or adjustments

• Conduct safety checks and DOT inspections

• Maintain accurate records of services, maintenance, and repairs performed

• Work closely with team members to ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

• Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and work area

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Trade school or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred

• Minimum of 2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry

• Class A CDL a Plus, not required

• Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, maintenance, and repair

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in on-call coverage as needed

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements

Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, reach overhead, sit or stand for extended periods, and lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-Time | Non-Exempt

• Pay: $20-25 per hour based on experience
