About the Role
Red Stag LLC is seeking a skilled Lead Driver/Yard Supervisor to help assist in overseeing the operations at the Utica Yard. This role is integral to ensuring smooth milk-loading operations, maintaining yard organization, and facilitating seamless communication between drivers and other team members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly dependable, and ready to assist with any task as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Milk Loading:
• Load milk at barns as scheduled.
• Assist with emergency milk loading as required.
Yard Checks:
• Conduct thorough yard checks
• Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Communication:
• Maintain open communication with the team members and drivers.
• Answer calls 24/7 and respond promptly to any issues or emergencies.
General Support:
• Assist with any additional tasks or operational needs as directed by management.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A with tanker endorsement
Minimum driving age of 23
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in liquid tanker hauling
Obtain and maintain a milk handler certification
Must be in good physical condition with evidence of insurability provided (Medical Card)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiar with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) to maintain the required hours of service
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call when necessary
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Previous experience in a supervisory or operational role, preferably in trucking or logistics
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
Reliable transportation
Travel may be required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, climb to heights, lift 50 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead
